Kyler Landry

Born August 2, 1972 in Franklin, La., Kyler was employed for the past 12 years as a police officer where he reached the level of Lieutenant.  He served as supervisor in the Narcotics Division where he was also a K-9 handler.  Kyler's love of public service also included working with local youth in the school system doing lectures and speeches about the dangers of drug usage.  Kyler also developed a youth services division in conjunction with city courts.  The Junior Police academy was held every summer for children to learn about police work. 

Kyler began playing clarinet in fifth grade, the next year, he switched to trumpet.  In high school, Kyler also learned to play French Horn in the concert band.  Kyler has had the opportunity to also learn/play Baritone, Flute, Sax, Valve Trombone, and Bass Clarinet. 

Kyler is a member of the Gay Men's Chorus of Houston and the Montrose Softball League.  Kyler is also interested in mentoring the runaway/homeless gay/lesbian children and takes an active role in doing so. 

Kyler is also a huge sports fan.  He's been involved in volleyball and softball leagues.  He's coached children in Little League Baseball, Girls Slow-Pitch Softball, Boys and Girls Youth Basketball, and Pop Warner Football League.  He has also refereed High School Varsity Football and Basketball.  His favorite sports teams include, the Louisiana Icegators, the Houston Astros, the Houston Rockets, and the New Orleans Saints.  Kyler is also a big fan of the WWE.  (but then again, who isn't a fan of big muscle men in tights rolling around with other similar men???)  You can catch Kyler throughout the year attending live sporting events. 

Kyler is currently employed by an Optometrist as a doctor's assistant, while he attends Houston Community College double majoring in Fine Arts and History.
