Born in Port Arthur, TX, Ron has been playing the clarinet since fourth grade!  He is the former principal with Baytown and Longview Symphonies, substitute in the Clear Lake Symphony, plays Eb clarinet for the Houston Civic Symphony, numerous choral organizations, and now a member of the Opus Five Woodwind Quintet.  When he's not playing music, Ron has the role of Health, Safety and Environmental regulatory consultant to industry.  His hobbies include cooking and entertaining, fitness, travel, and making new friends.  Ron joined the band for the camaraderie and to meet some really FABULOUS people!  (And we are glad he did.)
